CyberTester 4th

 

Our company has a 50-year history of manufacturing wire harnesses. Utilizing the know-how accumulated over the past 50 years, we developed our own CyberTester to perform shipping inspections of each harness. Starting with the prototype No. 1 in February 2006, we developed a mass-produced test machine (No. 2) in 2007, and completed the PC-integrated model (No. 3) in 2009. After that, we received the Best Quality Proposal Award from a customer in 2009, and in 2016 we were honored to receive the Tamba Excellent Product Award from the Hyogo Prefectural Government Bureau. Through these experiences, we have finally been able to develop a small, high-performance fourth-generation machine (No. 4) in 2018. Conventional cyber testers use an interface board built into a computer to perform inspections. Therefore, it was highly dependent on the computer’s OS, and there was a risk of exposure to threats such as viruses if OS support was discontinued. However, the newly developed Cyber ​​Tester No. IV has a microprocessor that runs on an OS built into the main unit of the tester, and is composed of hardware independent of the PC. As a result, after the PC sends the comparison data of the product to be tested, the tester itself performs the test and notifies the PC of the pass/fail result and any corrections required. Since it is not dependent on the PC’s OS, and the test itself is not affected by the PC’s capabilities, it can be used with any PC, even inexpensive notebook PCs.

The new Cyber ​​Tester incorporates two of our patents. This improves the ability to detect poor contact in connectors by using digital signals during continuity tests. In addition, if a defect is detected in the inspected harness, not only is the error location displayed but also hints on how to fix it are given, making it easy for even beginners to use.
